why do you do what you do?

Because I believe I have a plan?

Or because I got to?

Or because I need to impress someone?

Or because I can do better?

Or because things are so out of control?

Or because everyone thinks I can’t?

Or because someone used to do it?

Or because she made me do it?

Or because my life’s too short for me?

Or because nobody’s doing it?

Or because people made me?

Or because this is the only way out?

Or because I’m already 21 and I haven’t done something that would define what it’s like to be 21?

Or because I do it everyday?

Or because I wouldn’t count on anyone to do it for me?

Or because I’ll kill myself if I don’t?

Or because I’m just sick?

Or because not doing it is dumb?

Or because I just can’t stop?

Or because I’d be worthless if I don’t?

Or because tomorrow I’d be a day older than today?

Or because another lifetime just wouldn’t do?

Or because I have a new name?

Or because I have a semi-new life?
