ah, humanity. what can you offer the world besides sarcasm and ignorance? there’s love (all forms of it). there’s Mother Teresa (but she’s long dead). Angelina Jolie would be a nice offering, but she’s getting old. we, the six billion ‘we’ are doomed. we are walking an unending path to oblivion (but then oblivion is nothing for the path towards it is unending). so many buts and so little to offer — that is our fate.

:

liquor, of course, would be a nice offering, but placing it at the same level with sarcasm and ignorance is quite unfair, for liquor knows everything and nothing at the same time. it knows no sarcasm; it is beyond knowledge and reason. when given a choice between liquor and women, men would most likely choose the former — a wise choice in my opinion.

:

so if liquor is indeed beyond the human experience, then what are we drowning ourselves with for centuries? is this ‘earthly liquor’ just an approximation of a reality we will never figure out till our souls rise again as another earthly form? is liquor an attempt to replicate an experience we could only imagine?

:

I’ve searched far and wide for men who knew the real meaning of liquor, but they were long dead, forever drowned by their first love. I’ve searched for women who knew these men, but they were too busy with their bitterness of a love lost. which led me to one conclusion: liquor is also the greatest mystery in the universe.

:

damn, I’m sleepy as sh*t.

Delusions. If it is indeed everything and nothing, it’s a delusion. Like anything acquired in this lifetime, it’s for the sake of feeling, fulfilling – or at least imitating – a fantasy, an ideal. Liquor serves as a temporary gateway to the unknown, a way to escape reality that binds one to the-as you put it- path to oblivion. Daydreaming would’ve sufficed, but humans always want more. They want to experience the delusion, taste it, relish it, hence they need something to keep them submerged in their fantasies a little longer until they lose consciousness.

…Because day dreaming alone hurts. Your sense of logic will bring you crashing to the ground a few seconds before you could’ve fooled yourself to believing it. I should know, haha. So numb it out and pass it around!

Is liquor an attempt to replicate an experience we could only imagine? Yes.

I’m just wondering why the hell it tastes so terrible.

    What am I writing again?
